ROBIN LAB
DIGITAL FUNDRAISING
CRYPTO CURRENCY FUNDRAISING
CHALLENGE
Robin Lab, a cultural tech studio based in Turin Italy, asked me to design a digital fundraising strategy to help small Italian museums fund restoration and community projects.
The goal was to launch a bilingual crowdfunding campaign (Italian + English) that could reach both local supporters and international donors — including emerging crypto-friendly audiences.
And it had to be simple enough for a small team to manage on their own.

SOLUTION
We created a repeatable fundraising package tailored to small museums with limited time and staff.
The strategy is built around a two-level funnel:
Bottom of the funnel: engage the museum’s existing audience — visitors, volunteers, local communities — using email, social media, and WhatsApp
Top of the funnel: reach major donors using the crypto donation platform.
. The museum only covers the upfront cost of the digital tools (website, email, donation system).
The studio fee is based on the total amount raised — no risk, no ongoing subscription, no lock-in.
PROCESS
We started with what the museum already had: photos, stories, a core mailing list.
Then I:
Built a bilingual microsite on Squarespace with a donation page, campaign updates, and embedded video
Integrated Donorbox or Ko-fi, supporting one-time and recurring donations
Created plug-and-play email sequences and social posts, using Canva and MailerLite.
Mapped international donor networks, and crypto-friendly giving platforms.
Provided a clear launch timeline and tracking tools — so the team could follow and reuse the system.
OUTCOME
The result is a practical, low-barrier solution that empowers even small institutions to run a professional fundraising campaign — with tools they control, and a message they can lead.
