Delivered Trade Shows in Birmingham, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dortmund, Hong Kong.

Developed a business growth strategy using International trade shows as a Marketing tool to raise brand awarness and increase exports sales.

  • Duties included, but not limited to; Plan and implement marketing activities, negotiating with venues, liaise with exhibition organiser and third-party suppliers to ensure high-quality service are delivered within timelines and on budget, supervised on-site management and post-event report to measure ROI and ROC. 
  • Produced an Integrated Marketing Communication Plan, Project Plans and managed a budget of £350,000 in both currencies in Euro and GBP.

Achievements: Increased 15% export sales in 1 year with over 200 new valuable international contacts.


Events Coordinator 

World Textile Information Network

Leeds, November 2014 - December 2016

Delivered events in Frankfurt, Milan, New York, Jakarta, Sao Paulo (Brazil) 200/250 attendees.
Responsible for the logistic and production of International Conferences and Awards Gala
Dinners.
  • Duties included, but not limited to; Book flights, travel, and accommodation for staff as well as speakers, worked closely with Graphic Design Studio, Sales & Marketing Department to prepared briefs for the event and conference handouts, updating event ’s web content.
  • Prepared post-event reports summarising qualitative and quantitative responses and provided areas for positive changes. Managed on-site hotel reservations, conferences facilities and budgets in Euro and GBP.
Achievements: Produced an Operational Manual to manage the logistic of WTIN Conferences and Awards Gala Dinners.

Enterprise Europe Project Coordinator

Leeds, York and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, RTC North

Leeds,  January 2013- October 2014

Enterprise Europe Network is a European- funded delivered by a Consortium that comprise RTC North and the Leeds Chamber of Commerce.

  • Managed a European funded project, ensuring the consortium complied with EU regulations
  • Supported Yorkshire companies to Export to Europe.
  • Coached and mentored a small team on project deliverables and oversaw the implementation of the project alongside with the Consortium leaders.
  • Produced the implementation plan, guidelines and check lists on project deliverables.
  • Produced project Financial Budget, Financial Claims in Euro and GBP.

Achievements: Engaged with the representative of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in London and organised a successful event in Leeds with over 30 companies attending. Significantly improved my project management skills.


Corporate Event Executive

National Army Museum

London, July 2012 - October 2012

Responsible for management and delivery of commercial and charged events, functions, conferences and celebrity speaker events.

  • Liaised with internal and external clients regarding hosted events ensuring Museum’s terms and conditions are met and that the integrity of the Museum is not damaged; maintaining and updating guest lists in line with data protection act, managing Museum’s room booking system.
  • Developed and promoting Museum’s corporate offering and working with the Marketing and PR Department to enhance on-line marketing and advertising material.
  • Managing events budget, producing invoices and schedules for events.
  • Ensured risk assessments and method statements are produced in line with statutory health & safety work regulations and internal policies.
  • Provided input to the website, enhancing website presentation of the facilities to include correct capacity and description of each room available.
  • Worked with in-house catering team and the Head of Visitors to update corporate catering offer; producing new menus in line with client requirements.

Achievements: Organised celebrity speaker’s events with Lord Paddy Ashdown, Jules Stewart and Dan Snow.


Exhibition Assistant

Pipers Projects

London, January 2012  - March 2012 

This was a work placement and part of my Post Graduate Diploma in Event Management in London.

Duties:

Conducted delegate registrations of 250 companies and 800 delegates of the 2012 London Pavilion Exhibition at the MIPIM Trade Fair in Cannes (France); Co-ordinated on-site client meetings. 
Organised reception desk and handled queries from the 800 delegates and visitors. 
Updated data on the internal online system at Pipers and used InDesign software package to produce the official London Pavilion guide. 

Achievements: Produced the ‘London Pavillion Guide’ using InDesign.


Events Manager

Son et Lumiére, Italy  

Rome, Italy  January  2005 - Sep 2011

International Company specialising in public events and heritage-related events and projects. 

Delivered heritage projects to attract and engage a larger and younger audience with the use of new technology such as interactive installation and  large video projection on building façade.

Duties:

  • Project managed major events in Italy optimising the use of new technologies such as large video projection on building façade of historical sites. Project was first of its kind and secured 15% increase in ticket sales and national press coverage. 

  • Built and maintained excellent client relationships, with councils, clients, contractors and stakeholders; sourced suppliers and production companies, frequently using tendering process; signed and issued contracts on behalf of Son et Lumière;

  • Supervised VIP welcomes cocktail's including protocol's procedures for Mayor and other VIP participants at main public events and conferences.

  • Managed on site hotel reservations and conferences facilities including: Catering, speakers’ co-ordination, prepared badges and conference kits, assistance at the conferences. Managed on-site hotel payments, co-ordinating welcoming participants. 

  • Supported PR Department with organisation of press conferences, prepared database for the VIP invitations; liaised with graphic department to design promotional materials such as posters, invitations and brochures; 

  • Developed extensive international network of light designers, art curators, historians, architects and digital artists.

Achievements:  Project managed the first multimedia cultural event in Italy. The ‘Son et Lumiere’ at the Borghese Gallery with over 300,00 guests. Received National Press Coverage and increased 15% summer ticket sales.
