The old model of B2B publishing was not working anymore, and WTIN decided to integrate events into its new business growth strategy. There is, in fact, a relatively low barrier for publishers entering the conference industry and thanks to existing agreements with advertisers and sponsors the Company organised a series of successful conferences worldwide.

The ‘event experience’ was developed from the strategic objectives. Conferences were co-located within Textile Trade Shows and organised in collaboration with Trade bodies,
Speakers were recruited among experts in the digital textile industry, textile designers, entrepreneurs.
Format: One full day program, with two coffee breaks, lunch and drinks reception for 150/200 attendees, AV and class-room set up.
The target audience were professionals interested in the opportunities given by Digital Textile Printing.
Junior telesales was recruited to contact professionals worldwide.
Conferences were held in English only.
Event Coordinator from 2014 to 2016 for World Textile Information Network, Leeds (UK). Managed operational of conferences from Inception through to Completion.
Managed 150-200 delegates registration and all speakers’ needs including flights, accommodation, ground transport and onsite requirements.
Drafted speaker invitations, briefing documents and copies for all-event promotion. Co-ordinated clients’ requirements with all third-party suppliers and internal service providers.
Liaised with legal matters to issue suppliers contracts in a timely manner.
Reporting: Produced, managed and circulated key communications. Prepared post-event reports summarising qualitative and quantitative responses and provided areas for positive change.
Budget Management: Managed forecast spending against actuals, recommended cost-saving initiatives.
Coordinated payment of invoices.
Onsite Execution: Managed on-site hotel reservations and conference facilities including catering, speaker’s co-ordination, preparation of badges and conference kits, assistance at the conference.
