Strategic objectives

WTIN aimed at recognizing innovative businesses in the Textile Industry.

Event Goals

The Company intended to enter into a dialogue with main stakeholders of the Textile Industry and to create a‘memorable experience’ for attendees and guests.

Event Brief

The Awards Gala Dinner hosted 200-250 guests and included a cocktail reception upon arrival, three courses menu with wines, open bar, and DJ music.

Event Design

The location, theme and concept played a significant role.

A flow chart and a 3D design of the room layout helped the organisers in planning every step of the experience; from the moment of registering to attend the awards gala dinner.

The design of the stage, with a large screen, hosted a podium. An additional room was used for interviews.

The messages across the ‘touchpoints’ of the customer journey were all consistent and interconnected and added an ‘emotional value’ to the sensory experience.

Serena’s Role and Responsibilities  

Events Coordinator from November 2014 to December 2016 for World Textile Information Network, Leeds (UK)Supervised the production and logistics of the event.

Effectively negotiated and managed hotel, transport and other programmed components to ensure accuracy and seamlessness.

Established the correct systems and processes to ensure timely error free event management.

Drafted invitations, briefing documents and copy for all event promotion.

Invited all attendees and managed all RSVPs, via online bespoke registration site.

Briefed and liaised with designers on creating adverts, websites, listings, flyers and invitation cards.

Liaised with the venue on room layout, catering and AV requirements.

Liaised with internal team to ensure awards are promoted across all of the various media platforms where appropriate.

Maintained accurate files, budgets and critical paths in order to adhere to deadlines and budgets.

Strategic objectives

Fujifilm organised a Photo Exhibition in the prestigious Palazzo Venezia Museum in Rome. The Company aimed at promoting the photo exhibition through the media and International press.

Event Brief

Fujifilm Photo Exhibition was an annual winning award contest among professional photographers. The

Company decided to hire the venue to organise a press conference inviting International journalists.

Event Design

The Photo Exhibition was a free public event. The opening ceremony and the Gala Dinner were held inside

the Palazzo Venezia Museum.

Liaised with the venue on room layout, catering and AV requirements.

Supervised set-up and take down.

Maintained accurate files, budgets and critical paths in order to adhere to deadlines and budgets.

Organized the RSVP Cocktail Reception and Gala Dinner.


Over 300,000 people saw the Photo Exhibition displayed in the prestigious Palazzo Venezia Museum of Rome for a two months period.
